The steel frame channel system is designed to tie brickwork to steel studding. Self-drill / self-tap screws fix through the channel and insulation into the steel studding.

  • Design – Steel frame channel system designed to tie brickwork to steel studding. Self-drill / self-tap screws fix through the channel and insulation into the steel studding. The screws have an under head high thread which offers maximum support to the channel whilst preventing compression of the insulation material. VS9 ties are used with the channel to tie across the cavity into the masonry bed joint. The ties can be placed at any point along the length of the channel allowing full restraint to be maintained
  • Material – Manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel.
  • Behaviour in relation to fire – Non combustible (as defined in the national Building Regulations).
  • Durability – Excellent corrosion resistance and a service life of not less than 60 years.
  • VS9 Channel ties - Used in conjunction with the VS9 channel tie.
  • Specification – Available for specification on the NBS Source platform.
