Locusrite is pleased to introduce the TLPEB PVC‑u Plasterboard Edge Bead, the latest addition to its expanding range of PVC‑u plastering solutions. Designed to provide reliable edge protection and a clean, crack‑resistant finish, the TLPEB offers a lightweight, rust‑proof alternative to traditional metal edge beads for internal applications.
Reliable Protection for Exposed Board Edges
The TLPEB has been developed to reinforce and protect exposed plasterboard and cement board edges, including around windows, door frames, skirting details, changes in finish and system perimeters. Its robust PVC‑u construction delivers lasting impact resistance while maintaining crisp, straight lines for a high‑quality decorative finish.
Featuring a ribbed and perforated wing, the bead provides an excellent plaster key, helping to ensure strong adhesion and long‑term performance when used with internal skim coats or decorative plaster finishes.
Durable, Rust‑Free PVC‑u Construction
Manufactured from white, high‑density, impact‑resistant PVC‑u, the TLPEB eliminates the risk of corrosion. This makes it particularly suitable for areas exposed to moisture or humidity, where metal alternatives may deteriorate over time.
As with the rest of Locusrite’s PVC‑u bead range, the TLPEB offers a cost‑effective and low‑maintenance solution that installs in exactly the same way as traditional metal beads. Other colours are available and can be manufactured to order, providing additional flexibility where required.
