Empowering the Next Generation of Construction Professionals: Paul Rickett Leads the Way
Locusrite was proud to support its sister company, BPC, in hosting hands-on workshops with the talented students of Leeds College of Building. These workshops aimed to provide aspiring construction professionals with the practical knowledge and skills they need to build successful careers in the industry.
A highlight of the event was the session led by Paul Rickett, who provided an in-depth exploration of the wide range of plaster beads available. Paul demonstrated how each type of bead is designed to meet specific challenges in construction, from achieving clean edges to ensuring durable finishes. Through live demonstrations and real-world examples, Paul illustrated how these essential tools are used in various scenarios, offering the students invaluable insights into their practical applications.
Complementing Paul’s session, BPC’s Product Development Project Manager, David Lo, covered key builder’s metalwork products, including joist hangers, restraint straps, wall ties, and wall starter kits. David shared technical insights into how these components are used in construction and what students can expect to encounter as they progress through their training.
These workshops exemplify the collaborative efforts of Locusrite and BPC in inspiring and equipping the next generation of construction professionals. By combining expert guidance with hands-on experience, we’re helping to ensure a strong future for the industry.
